Well, it was. That was the day No Line on the Horizon, the new U2 album came out. I didn’t say anything about it last week because I wanted to let the thing marinate in my mind for a bit.

U2 is one of those bands that I think, having grown up on Bad Religion and Dead Kennedy’s, I should not enjoy. But you know what, I love that damn band. Yeah Bono’s full of himself, and yeah they are, in many ways, the stereotypical arena-rock band. But, god damnit, they write such good songs and absolutely blow away live shows. So there you are. Go buy the new album because it is, as they say, the shit.
