Greetings all!

Sorry once again for the extended absence, needless to say “shit be crazy” lately. I won’t bore you with all the details yet (future post most likely), but I’ve been stretching myself in directions I never thought possible,

I did want to confirm what kilian said earlier, it’s true, I will be doing a signing later this month. It will be in Bellflower I believe, and it will be on or around the 25th.  What I do know for sure is that it I will be signing with the lovely Tommy Kovac, and the mysterious Steve Niles. More on that later this week.

Most importantly, I wanted to let all interested parties know that we will be celebrating the lovely Ms April December’s birthday (26 years young she will be!) with pumpkin carving and booze (but NOT in that order!). We will begin with the celebrating around 3ish (pumpkin defacement) and move to drinks and food around 7ish. All will be done at our current abode in Tustin. For those that wish further information and all that good stuff, please feel free to contact me directly ^__^ :

Salem became 6months old officially yesterday… he’s huge, vocalizing like crazy, and getting ready to crawl… life as we know it in the Gilgrim household is soon to be over…

Gilgrim has informed me that he might have a signing event coming up later this month. The exact day/time/location are, as of this moment, unknown to me but I can assure you that when I know, you will know. This is fortuitous because I’ve had two copies of the Cemetarians trade sitting in my living room waiting to be signed (by the aforementioned Gilgrim) for several weeks…one might even say months. Thankfully both Tengu and Exsulis have not, as yet, begun to badger me with “where’s my graphic novel?” e-mails…

Did anyone else watch Bill Maher on The Daily Show last night?

It occurred to me, after the show was over, that Bill Maher might be the closest modern equivalent to Henry David Thoreau. He has absolutely no hesitation saying what he believes. Regardless of what you might personally think of him, you have to respect his commitment to what he believes.

I’m reading three books right now; Geek Love, The Street of Crocodiles, and The Posthumous Memories of Bras Cubas.  I just finished The Names three days ago.  I’m also trying to write three (reasonably short) papers and grade 37.

As I type this, there are more than 25 books in my car. If I take a corner too fast I am randomly hit in the head by something like this, or this, or this.

Of course, all of this is of secondary import today.

Is there a law requiring that, in establishments whose menu consists mostly of coffee and espresso based items, the temperature can never be above 50 degrees Fahrenheit? Seriously. I’ve been sitting here for an hour and I now have a moderate case of frost bite. On Saturday I put on pants and a jacket (even though the outside temperature was over 90) because I was going to study and I didn’t want to shiver the whole time.
