<itunes:summary>Hey there faithful Normalinauts. Remember when I said I’d have another interview…it was like a year ago…well, that one fell through. It only took me this long to get another one set up, recorded, and ready for posting. See how damn on the ball I am?

Anyway, you might remember a review I wrote about Breathers: A Zombie’s Lament. Today I present to you an interview with SG Browne, author of said novel.
Topics discussed include: allegorical implications of zombie narratives, zombie recipes, engineering as a profession (or not), erotic corpses, rewriting as a process, empathetic horror archetypes.

As always, if you have problems with the stream, you can download the files here.
For the interested, the bumper music (a nice addition this time around…don’t you think?) is as follows:
Part 1 — Camera Obscura – Away with Murder
Part 2 — Kate Nash – Skeleton Song
Part 3 — Neko Case – People Got a Lotta Nerve

Descendents — Bikeage

<itunes:summary>Hey there faithful Normalinauts and (hopefully) others. Continuing with our theme of actually doing stuff this week (remember, there’s a comic in the offing for tomorrow…), here is installment numero dos of Random Acts of Insightfulness and our guest this time is Tim Powers. I have often made mention of my admiration for Mr. Powers and…ahem…may have taken it too far at times…but he agreed to sit down with me in any event. Once again I have cut the interview up into parts.
Topics discussed include writing methods, Philip K Dick, the neuroses and nature of writers, German soup advertisements, The Anubis Gates, and the Oprah Book Club.
Once again, enjoy!

If you have issues with the podcast…I’m not saying it is your own fault…but you can always download the mp3′s here…
