Please excuse our dust while we improve the site, for you!

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

As exsulis and I stumble around in the dark, sometimes bumping into each other, trying to figure out this whole “website” business, you will likely find a number of changes here at your favorite url (that’s normalityrestored.com, by the way…). We are at the point where it is about to get, as the kids say, “real up in this biatch!” But until it get’s really real, it’ll get a lot less real first.

Not exactly sure how we want the site laid out, yet. I certainly have a number of ideas, a few thoughts, maybe even one or two conjectures, as the case may warrant. And while wordpress.com doesn’t allow for a whole lot of, experimentation, you might say, I can at least start to get an idea of how certain set-ups look and/or feel.

And I realize I can preview a theme without actually applying to the website proper, but I ask you, what would be the fun in that?

Yeah, that’s right, nothing.

$166.80

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

I realize it isn’t really that much money. And, you know, 6.95 a month is certainly doable for me, at this point.

But when that’s the “monthly” rate only because it’s what the flat rate works out to when divided by 24, well, that isn’t really “6.95 per month” it’s 166.80 for two years.

Now don’t get me wrong. That’s a serious amount of hosting for a pretty good price…I just don’t have 160 bones…at least not for bills that aren’t totally necessary…and cable, you gotta have cable.

A quick word of thanks.

We’ve seen a steady, modest, increase in our traffic here at Normality Restored. I like to think that’s, at least in part, due to the fact that we’ve actually been posting stuff regularly for a few weeks. Although, the amount of comics has dwindled to…um…zero.

Nevertheless, you stalwart supporters of Normality Restored (I briefly considered calling you “Normies” but then realized how lame that would be) continue check-in and comment. And I’d like to give an especial thanks to Kerri (particularly for the kind words), Shalyn and anyone else whose left a comment (and no, you don’t count exsulis). It’s really nice considering there has been a serious lack of web-comic on this web-comic, of late.

But never fear! We are working on a comic for this week! Complete with pictures, word bubbles, color, and maybe even a joke or two (but, you know, I wouldn’t hold my breath on that last one).

A word on our continuing effort to enhance your Normality experience.

You may have noticed that, along with the other stuff over there on the left hand side of the screen in the “Various Info” there is now an actual link to an actual comic archive. TA-DA!!!!! You may have also noticed that, once you click on this link, only the five most recent comics are actually, ahem, archived. I’ll I’m going to say is that it was late in the night when I got it up, and it would have taken me much too long to upload everything, and I can’t do it now that I’m at work because the crap-ass firewall here blocks the ports I need in order to upload to the server, so you’ll just have to wait until tonight for the archive actually house everything.

Now that the functionality is there, though, we’ll probably do something similar for the various “goodies” that gilgrim posts from time to time

Look at that number fall!

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

I have to assume that all six of our loyal readers are doing their utmost in our current “voting frenzy” because our number on Top Web Comics keeps dropping like a…something that drops swiftly and efficiently…

Look at that, we’ve only been doing this for a week and we’re already in the top 300! You guys surely rock out with your C**KS out! And for those of you without C**KS, you surely rock just as hard, but with some other body part that is uncovered…maybe an arm?…

I’d like to see the site get in the top 50 which, given our current trajectory, looks totally possible.

So, thanks again and KEEP IT UP!
