Your an idiot. She's a reality star/fashion designer. If you read the acknowledgements or read her interviews properly, she thanks Nancy Ohlinn for being her collaborator, so she's not claiming to be some amazing author. The books were designed as light reading as a way for her to reach her fans since she left the show and so they can understand what really went on behind the scenes and why she left. So why don't you go back to your dark corner and leave Lauren alone? At least she's achieved something by working hard and not dissing others?

Yes, the book was terrible. But so are your writing skills. And before you start berating me for starting sentences with conjunctions, I suggest you brush up on grammar.

Whoever told you that ending a sentence with a preposition needs to get with the times. It's a ridiculous rule anyhow, and any person who would notice that is just a wannabe grammar snob with no real knowledge of grammar.

The book was what it was meant to be: a fun, summer, read. Akin to junk food, sugary lip gloss, and everything else bad for you. It's hardly supposed to be on the level of Joyce or Everett. She never claimed to be writing the Great American novel so how about getting off your oh-so-superior literati high horse and leaving Conrad alone.

And btw: in certain circumstances, ending in a preposition is perfectly acceptable by today's editing standards. Grammar evolves with the times... maybe you should too.

I'll let you get back to your Everett now and I think I'll check out LC's next book... just as soon as I finish up Uncle Tom's Cabin.

Wassup with dissing "of" at the end of a sentence? Check out Churchill's witty saying about it or look at a style book published after 1970. And for comparing a YA obviously lite read with the Poitier book, ugh, apples and oranges.

The book was absolutely terrible. I read it with my friends so we could rip it to shreds on our podcast.
