There are many things in which Kilian and I don’t see exactly eye to eye. Kilian loves bacon, while I’m a vegetarian (I eat fish, but telling people you’re a pescetarian usually only causes confusion). Killing thinks that Werewolves are the mightiest of mythical creatures, while I of course am partial to disturbingly horrid and brightly coloured depictions of Unicorns. And while we are both unapologetically big fans of the old Football (read: soccer, here in the states) and follow the Premier League in particularly we do not cheer for the same clubs (read: teams for yanks).
No, dear Normalinauts, no we do not follow or share the passion for the same Premier League Clubs. Kilian is a fan of Liver Pool, while my personal allegiance remains with Manchester United. We both have our own reasons for devoting our energies to our particular clubs, but regardless of the reasons behind the preferences, those ties are extremely strong and unwavering.
And so it is not only remarkable but noteworthy (at least to us!) that tomorrow, during the Championship Semi-Finals for the entire League, our two clubs will be pitted against each other, in face to face, direct, aggressive and blood-boiling competition!
Behold the ultimate showdown!

As the current standings in the League go, my club is respectfully far in the lead, but it really doesn’t matter as a loss at this point would still be devastating. On the other hand, for Kilian’s club they will need a decisive win to better secure their place in the final round. Although, beating the recurring League champs (that would be ManU!) even if it did not pan out to a place in the Finals or the actual Championship itself, would be an incredible emotional and psychological feather in their cap!
Since Kilian and I are both somewhat fascinated by our chosen mythological beasties, the comic for this week has utilized them in place of direct reference to our individual FC’s. As for the other motifs in this strip, I think it should be fairly obvious that this is Kilian yet again finding an excuse to dress up in a ridiculous costume, this time of course as Watchmen’s Rorschach… I’m just really glad he didn’t bust out the blue body paint to do Dr. Manhattan…
So wish us all luck tomorrow, no matter how it goes, the outcome will be somewhat historic, at least to myself and Kilian, as I’m sure that it will provide ammunition to razz the other at least until a return match-up can come about again, likely not until next season.
I love you all,
–Aleister

PS
April and I are still trying to get our previously mentioned secret project going but are running into a bit of a wall with finding funding for it… we all know the economy is bad, but couple that with the fact that the amount we need for said project falls right into the ‘investment gap
‘ (the gap between start-up and angel investing amounts) finding sufficient funds is becoming nearly impossible… if anyone knows of a possible lead for an investor(s) that might be interested in said ‘secret geeky enterprise‘ please do feel free to send them our way for more info...
Kilian will be posting to this as soon as he can ^__^ be patient faithful Normalinauts

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Let me start by saying that I was going to pop on last night after I was done at the bookmines. I didn’t get home, however, until 11:30 and I had been up since five in the morning. I duly sat down on the couch, turned on the laptop, and promptly fell asleep.
You know what?
It’s much more satisfying getting on today, after the game is over, and the werewolves…er, Liverpool did crush the puny unicorns/Man U 4-1. The fact that the match was played at Old Trafford (Man U’s home pitch) is all the more satisfying. Join me, won’t you, in enjoying these highlights of said thrashing.
And, yes I know the audio is in German, but the video is high def…
According to 4thgame, this is Man U’s worst home loss since 1992. Beautiful.
The Reds are still five points down from Man U (and Man U has a game in hand) so Man U has to be favored to retain the Premier League crown, but this certainly makes the rest of the season more interesting.

The NR series of comics continue to get better and better. I especially love the kick-ass werewolf/unicorn panel.
Kilian as Rorschach is both frightening and strangely appropriate. Awesome comic, as always, Gilgrim, and yes, the panel of werewolf/unicorn was terrific. I’ve never seen an evil snarling unicorn before. It would make a cool stuffed animal.
I think that unicorn might haunt my nightmares for the rest of my life.
