Real quick, as I’ll leave the majority of the commentary on this one to Kilian (since he said he had something to say about it earlier) but here we are with yet another new comic – yay!

See, what I’m hoping you all got from this is that the woman is crazy. I didn’t watch the interview with her for a few reasons.
1. I didn’t want to be shouting at the TV for an hour and wake up the kids.
2. She had octuplets after already having six other kids under the age of 8, what the hell else do we need to know about her and her crazy?
3. I was watching The Mentalist. Anyone else been watching this show? Seriously, it’s fucking brilliant in that Veronica Mars (mmmm Kristen Bell) way. It’s nothing like real life but the cast is so damn good (particularly Simon Baker, but Tim Kang rocks too) that I can’t get enough of it.
OK, anyway. Did I mention that woman has 14 damn kids under the age of eight? Good god that’s crazy.
And she’s trying to sell her story. Of course she is. I was listening so some a-hole talk radio show today and one of the dudes on there made a good point. You just know someone’s trying for nine right now.
Fuck these people. All they’re doing is populating the planet with even more damn kids who are going to be f’ed up.
But you know what? If I thought I could make 2 mil by having 30 half-breed goblins, I’d probably do it.

But at least the half-breed gobos would be unique. Deceiver.com is actually running a few good stories about “clown car vagina woman”. I’ve heard lots of the interview she did on the Today show and she is all kinds of batshit crazy.

How would you portray that in a Halloween or a get-Gilgrim-really-drunk-and-have- a-camera costume?
Then I’m guessing you missed the parts where-in she is unemployed, on welfare, and using food stamps but doesn’t want any hand outs. OMG, she could somehow afford in vitro fertilization (which isn’t cheap) but she gets welfare checks, and food stamps!!!
I watched enough of the interview to know that she was working as a nurse, and supposedly worked double shifts for like a year straight. She saved all her money for the sole purpose of spending it on fertility treatments.
She also got “injured” at her job at the psychiatric hospital and went on workers comp. Then when she was driving, she got into a car accident and claimed an extension for her original workers comp case since the accident was on her way to one of her workers comp doctors for an evaluation. So, for a number of years she’s been receiving about 70% of her salary in workers comp but not working, yet healthy enough to churn out babies.
In her Today show interview, she also claimed she doesn’t want handouts/welfare, and doesn’t consider the food stamps or medi-cal insurance for herself and the kids “welfare.” They’re just programs to help those in need or some such rationalization like that.
Oh, and she plans on using her student loans to help pay for the raising of the kids…I didn’t know you could do that. I always thought you had to use student loans, to go do student things like buy text books and pay for classes.
Excess amounts of student loans, over and above what you need for tuition (which is automatically taken by the school) goes back to the student to use as he/she sees fit. The idea is that if you don’t want to work you can use loan money to support yourself while in school. I suppose if you had kids you could then use excess loan money to support them. I mean, why the hell not?
All of this just makes my head hurt.
That, and I think with the spike in multiple births and invitro, this kind of case was inevitable.
