For the record… (webcomic weekly wrap-up)

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

I thought it important to note, but the I thought it important to note, but the Weekly Webcomic Wrap-up has been released for this week ( a little late it seems), and as might be construed from this most recent Normality Restored webcomic, we have once again, been nigh-included in the proverbial wrap-up’ping.

While this is indeed a saddenning event for the NR staff itself, it is not without precident, and will not be something that will ultimately discourage us from our most central and important goal. The very same goal that keeps us here, the same essential prime directive achievement which we must count on your assistance to attain, for it is only with your help that we will be able to:

To conquer the world of webcomics.

We will consider this minor set-back a very literal throwing of the guantlet from the multiverse at large. Challenge noted. Challenge accepted.

NR-out!

What My Summer Will Look Like: One Hint, Not Fun

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

I’ve put it off as long as possible. When the last week of August rolls around, I begin the final semester of my master’s program. Normally, that would be cause for (slight) celebrations. But on September 13, I get to take a six hour exam. The exam covers material that is different each time it is given (twice a year, September and January), and you get four months to prep. There is no class associated with said test, and, the professor’s grading said test (they also change each test) do not, in fact, lecture to the student at all. Basically, you get a list of stuff to read then, on that fateful morn, you show up and have to write three essays, the prompts to which, you have never seen and have no idea what they might cover.

Behold my reading list:
