Oh, and Buffy was (that's right Tengu, I'm saying it) ridiculously overrated. The writing was not that good. The three episodes of Firefly that I watched were certainly better then Buffy, but really, that's not saying a whole lot...

Yeah yeah, I'll finish Firefly when I have time...three years from now...

Kerri - I saw a few episodes of the Dresden show and really liked it...I was told (by Jim Butcher himself) that Jim Butcher makes a cameo in one of the episodes, so that's cool...

I would say that on every level, Dick Grayson is inferior to Batman. Now I'm not a big Nightwing fan, but if you had only one non-superhuman detective/scientist/grappling hook using hero to choose, it would be Batman. On that note, I suggest to go over to google and do this search, "poor man's johnny depp"

My favorite Firefly episode is, "Shindig." That's Captain Mal at his greatest. Though the one where Mal and Wash are taken prisoner by Neska is a pretty good episode as well.

Firefly is Buffy with a male lead, spaceships, and cowboys. What's not to love?

The first Dresden books were the best, if only for the fact in the latest few he's become sort of Sue-ish. But they're still very enjoyable and I have all 9. Don't bother with the TV show, it sucks sour frog butt.

Yes, I like Dick Grayson. No I don't particularly care for Batman. Two completely different people, personalities, styles, levels of obssession.

Who is Skeet Ulrich?

What is it with you people and your love of Firefly?

One day I should probably watch at least one episode of that...

Havok was one of my favorite X-men, though...

I have the first Dresden Files book but haven't actually read it yet...

OK, so you like Dick Grayson, but not Batman...I just can't comprehend that. It's like saying you prefer Skeet Ulrich to Johnny Depp.

I'll admit an unreasonable love of Havok from the X-Men just because he keeps getting the raw end of every shaft, story-wise, writer-wise, art-wise (shudder). Big fan of Harry Dresden, Odd Thomas, and Zak Kebron of Peter David's New Frontiers series. Sir Apropos of Nothing, too. Hm. Rounding out the list... Hal Jordan, Wally West, Manji from Blade of the Immortal, Wash from Firefly, Dick Grayson, and C3PO. The very idea of a guy stuffing himself into a metal suit for ten hours a day was intriguing to say the least.

And I'm just going to say one more thing about Han Solo and Greedo vis-a-vis "shooting first"...

If Han had the intention of shooting Greedo, he would have done so the moment he pulled his gun from its holster (or even before removing it). Instead, he pulls it and leaves it pointed at Greedo while engaging in a minute long conversation. If brother wanted to put a cap in green dude's ass, why wait? There is no reason, unless his sole intention was to pull his gun so that, if necessary, he had it at the ready to defend himself. Which is what, in fact, he did.

Yes, Greedo did come to the table with a gun drawn but how would it have gone if he'd sat down, unarmed and said, hey han, come with me to Jabba?

I'm sorry, I just don't buy Han, the guy who comes back to save Luke from Vadar, shooting first. Yes, he pulls his gun out, but was that with the intent to murder, or the intent to defend. I don't think the Han that I know would ever shoot first. That's all I'm saying.

And, yeah I think Greedo would have killed Han. I mean, he was a bounty hunter. I don't think Jabba had a "Han must be alive" policy so much as a "I want my money back" policy, at that point.

And, if Greedo had killed Han, by the way, if he'd have been able to take out Chewie as well, then he'd have the Falcon all to himself.
