An Open Invitation to All Normalinauts

March 26th, 2008

I think that most anyone who reads this regularly, and happens to live in Southern California, is probably already aware, but I’m going to throw it out there anyway.

Sometime this week I will turn 30. On Saturday, my wife has decreed that their will be a party type gathering at our house. Pretty much everyone who wants to come over (or is able), is more than welcome. We have stated that festivities will commence at 4 pm, though that just means that the chili I am making will be ready around that time.

Presents?

DEAR GOD NO!

If you are so inclined, you can purchase alcohol and bring it along. I will definitely have both Guinness and Bass on hand, as I plan on drinking Black & Tans until I pass out. The wife will have some sort of fruit style something or other…

I know what you’re thinking, “but I don’t know where you live?” Well, as sure as I am that few people read this, I just can’t in good conscious throw my home address up here, so if you want to come and don’t already know the address, e-mail me.

Though I’ll never make it, as you live half a country away, happy birthday nonetheless. Hope it’s a good one!

Just look for all the Black Balloons.

Will there be any chocolate Biscuits, and gravy?

Quick Suavo to Dave’s, and retrieve the Hell spawned bottle of doom.

As for presents I already got yours so you are going to take it, and like it.

P.S. Flights from Minnesota are not that bad these days at least in comparison to gas.

If that present happens to be a second bottle of doom, then I won’t, in fact, take it…if you’re going to Dave’s anyway, feel free to invite him and Mike (I sent an e-mail to Suavo’s wife(Ms. White), but she has not acknowledged it…).

    I wasn’t planning on the biscuits and gravy…but I guess I could…

Um no we already drank that bottle, and for the life of me I can’t imagine someone willing to distil 3rd bottle of the vile elixir. The last time I was over I had commented to Jess on what I was getting you for your Bday so in theory she knows what you are getting other than a sac of burritos.

    I do happen to have Mike’s e-mail address though I don’t have Dave’s.

i would like to go, i am working this saturday though and let me tell you that the dead cant wait, in fact they can be just as cold hearted and ignorant of your plans as the living, its all about them you know. perhaps if they were to make eye contact or even acknowledge i am there… oh well. thank you for the invitation, it would be cool to meet some of you sometime. i hope saturday is a drunken stupor for you!

Well, if you’re not planning on staying with the dead folks into the wee hours, you’re more then welcome to come over after work…

Unfortunately, Clan Tengu has already committed to another 30th birthday bash in good old Simi Valley. We apologize for missing this grand event.

My buddy Andrew from high school lives in Simi with his rocket scientist wife. Really, she is a rocket scientist in the aerospace industry. So, we had already committed to going to his 30th bash this weekend.
