If there were some way to rip out my lungs, and yet still breath, boy oh boy would I!

As gilgrim previously mentioned, I was “sick” on Friday.  What that means is that the wife and I had planned on taking the daughter to Disneyland…which we did.  What we hadn’t planned on, though, was that all three of us would ACTUALLY be sick on that day.  Call it perseverance, call it stubbornness, call it stupidity, we did, nevertheless, trek on down, as a family, to the Magic-type kingdom…

Sometime around the end of October the daughter got sick and has, as yet, never actually recovered.  She’s had 3 ear infections in the last 6 weeks, and Friday started up with the pink eye.  But we still went to Disneyland…

The wife and I have both been consistently sick for the last 3 weeks, though with finals and all, last week was particularly bad for me.  My semester ended about 9 pm on Thursday and I probably should have spend Friday in bed, but, you know…

I did go to the book mines on Saturday, which I probably shouldn’t have, and then Sunday morning exsulis, unnamed goon #3 (you know who you are!) and I laid down sod in my backyard.  The cold/wet/mud was probably less than optimal for my illness.

Yesterday I took the daughter to her doctor to confirm the pink eye, and stayed at home with her the rest of the day.  I probably shouldn’t be at work today, but what’re going to do?  I already have Friday scheduled off, so it’s not like this is going to be a long week…

Why is it that Goon #3 has yet to make an appearance on this board? I know he’s on the lazy side, but even Jezmon has made it with a few postings. Sorry to hear about you and the family being sick. Hope you get well before we come up to visit.

Said goon has registered with the site but as we know he is rather lazy. And I should note dangerous at least with sharp things that can cut other peoples’ fingers(at least I have a :) on my middle finger these days). Too bad we can’t walk on said grass until 2008 it really did make the backyard look so much better.

Yes, the level of “goons” laziness is the stuff of legend…

  4. exsulis says:

The last I checked said lazy goon was playing Civilization 2 on his work PC since it doesn’t use any executable files to be tracked.

long lasting sickness in the laaaaame. I have been sick with god knows what for about a good month and it is in no way radical.

At some point in the very near future I am anticipating that I will collapse into a coma…so at least I have something to look forward to…

Just because you contracted “The Plague” (though there are technically two of them) doesn’t mean its over. Granted it took me a week to get over it, and I only showed up to work for three hours at a time. While I did infect a number(49) of people with said plague(aren’t I a nice guy). But falling into a coma will indeed cure you.

  8. Spookymuffin says:

Oh yeah. A coma would just be the icing to a crappy sick filled cake.

BTW, was this the daughter’s first time to the Magic Kingdom? Did she enjoy it? Did you see the snow on the castle change?

  10. kilian says:

It was her first time, and we did see the snow on the castle, but she was less than impressed by that…now Goofy’s house, that was a different story…
