Normality is Restored!
Hello to all 6 of our amazing readers!
I know that since the site has undergone its renovations I haven’t exactly been around as much. But there is a good reason for that, and that reason is… stuff! Actually, I can’t go into too much detail except to say that whatever is occupying my time in a not-so-good way as of late, has nothing to do with my efforts here with Kilian.
So, with that said, I thought it would be appropriate to mark my return with not one, but two(!) strips for the good ol’ Normality Restored viewing public! I will post the first one here, and Kilian will be posting the second one in just a bit - where he will be taking the time to talk about the inspiration behind it.

As for this comic, this was done in honor of Jonathan Reilly’s annual comicbook and animated character costume party. On Halloween, April, myself and Taliesin, amongst other people gathered to celebrate the spooky eve in a very nice and low-key manner with master Reilly himself. During this party we all discussed our possible costume choices for the upcoming costume shindig. During the conversation, someone brought up the fact that technically, April and I are already comicbook characters because of the strips that I’ve done for Normality Restored and Megalo Life, both of which, we’ve basically appeared as ourselves. So, I thought, why not, I think that’s pretty funny, and with Tal’s blessing the plans were laid to include him as well. And thusly, you have this week’s comic, which also includes a cameo by the very lovable, incredibly welcoming and now one year older, Jonathan Reilly (in his truly kick-arse Tick costume to boot!).

Hey, my ranting isn’t THAT annoying…I mean, I can think of at least fifteen things that are as annoying…like needles being plunged into your eyes, that’s gotta be tied with my ranting…right?
Hmm, needles being plunged into my eyes can sometimes be a step up from your ranting. Now what would be worse than your ranting is being locked in a room with Barry Bonds as he continues to proclaim his innocence regarding steroid use. That would suck.

And on the Tick costume, I am both amazed and humbled. It takes a lot for a grown man to voluntarily wear that much spandex. And carry it off that well. Room was cold, I take it.

As for the act of turning one’s self into a cartoon character in order to come as one’s self to an Animated or Illustrated Character Costume Party… Well done!
Actually- I was going to call it cheating, but upon further contemplation I will instead award everyone involved a Commendation for Original Thinking.
